Swiss-based Delvitech, a provider of AI-driven optical inspection technology, has announced its expansion into the microelectronics and chiplet sectors. The company aims to address the growing complexities of these industries with its AI platform, which combines proprietary neural networks and advanced hardware to deliver inspection precision and flexibility.
According to the company, its technology has set new standards in automated optical inspection (AOI). Unlike traditional systems that rely on parameter-based methods, Delvitech uses AI to provide minimal manual configuration, customisable inspection processes and significantly reduced false positives.
Its system also includes a training manager to improve inspection capabilities directly on the machine, ensuring continuous improvement.
Furthermore, the company’s expansion into microelectronics and chiplets is supported by its advanced, patented optical head, due to be launched in 2025. Delvitech’s technology is designed to meet the specific challenges of these sectors, such as heterogeneous integration for multi-material assemblies, nanoscale imaging for sub-micron features, and AI-powered analytics for real-time defect detection.
Delvitech’s CEO, Roberto Gatti, commented on the company’s unique position to drive innovation in these emerging sectors. “The microelectronics and chiplet sectors represent the forefront of technological innovation, and our technology provides the precision and flexibility necessary to propel these industries forward,” he said.
