DigiKey opens new Bengaluru office to expand India Global Capability Center

The new office is designed to support innovation, technology enablement, collaboration, and future business expansion

DigiKey has inaugurated a new office in Bengaluru to support its India Global Capability Center (GCC) and global business operations.

The company inaugurated the new facility on October 5, 2026, at Sumadhura Capitol Towers in Whitefield, Bengaluru. The new office is designed to support innovation, technology enablement, collaboration, and future business expansion.

“Our new Bengaluru office strengthens DigiKey’s long-term growth strategy by providing capacity to attract top talent, support business expansion and foster greater collaboration and innovation among our global team,” said Shane Zutz, Vice President of Human Resources, DigiKey.

The company said the new facility will also strengthen its ability to deliver value to customers, suppliers, and employees while expanding its access to India’s engineering talent and technology ecosystem.

DigiKey India has grown significantly since it started as a five-person prototype team in 2022. The India operation now has nearly 300 employees and serves as a strategic GCC supporting DigiKey’s global operations.

The Bengaluru center focuses on innovation, technology enablement, collaboration, and digital transformation initiatives for the company’s worldwide teams. The new office is expected to provide additional capacity as DigiKey scales its operations in India.

According to DigiKey, India has become an increasingly important market and innovation center for the company, with the Bengaluru GCC playing a key role in supporting its global technology and business requirements.

Bengaluru’s position as a major technology and innovation hub was also a factor in DigiKey’s decision to expand its presence in the city. The company said the investment will help it attract skilled professionals, improve organisational efficiency, and strengthen collaboration between its India and global teams.
