Driving sustainable, eco-friendly last-mile logistics across major Indian cities, Eicher Trucks partners with Magenta Mobility to deploy 100 electric Pro X trucks.
Eicher Trucks and Buses, a unit of VE Commercial Vehicles, has begun supplying the Eicher Pro X small electric trucks to Magenta Mobility, a logistics solutions provider in India.
The first batch of 100 Pro X trucks, each with a 1.7-tonne payload capacity, will be deployed in cities like Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai, as a part of Magenta’s focus on a carbon-neutral supply chain.
The Pro X range, unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, marks Eicher’s entry into the 2-3.5-tonne electric vehicle market, too. Designed for urban and near-city distribution, the Pro X offers a commendable cargo space, energy efficiency, and key features such as air-conditioned cabins and advanced safety systems.
Co-developed with industry experts from sectors like e-commerce and FMCG, the vehicles also offer an impressive turning radius and enhanced visibility.
Commenting on the partnership, Mr S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer of VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “This collaboration is a step forward in promoting eco-friendly transport solutions. The Eicher Pro X range caters to the increasing demand for energy-efficient vehicles in last-mile logistics, aligning with Magenta’s sustainability goals.”
Magenta Mobility’s Founder and CEO, Mr Maxson Lewis, added, “Integrating Eicher Pro X trucks into our fleet marks a significant milestone in transforming last-mile logistics. This partnership strengthens our ability to deliver efficient, sustainable solutions while offering high-performance, eco-friendly options to our customers.”
Magenta Mobility, with over 2600 electric vehicles in its fleet across 18+ cities, is rapidly expanding its presence, fostering the widespread adoption of electric mobility in India’s logistics sector.
