EnerVenue Announces Appointment Of Rahul Mehta As New CRO

EnerVenue Holdings has recently named Rahul Mehta as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO). Based in Singapore, Mehta will oversee EnerVenue’s worldwide commercial operations, including marketing, business development, sales, project delivery, and long-term customer services. His role is aimed at aligning the company’s expanding manufacturing capacity with growing demand for its fourth-generation Aqueous Metal Cell (AMC) technology.

EnerVenue CEO Henning Rath said the appointment comes at a critical stage as the company transitions from manufacturing scale-up to broader commercial deployment. He noted that Mehta brings significant industry experience, customer relationships, and market credibility needed to convert interest in EnerVenue’s technology into deployed projects.

Mehta has more than 15 years of experience in the global power and energy sector, with expertise in commercial strategy, sales leadership, and the delivery of complex energy solutions across international markets. Before joining EnerVenue, he served as Vice President of Sales for Asia-Pacific at Fluence and previously held roles at Hitachi Energy and ABB. He earned a bachelor’s degree from IIT (BHU) Varanasi and a doctorate from the National University of Singapore.

Commenting on his appointment, Mehta said energy storage is becoming increasingly important as power systems evolve and customers seek safer, longer-life, and more flexible alternatives to lithium-ion batteries. He described EnerVenue’s technology as differentiated for the next phase of energy storage deployment and said his focus will be on building the commercial platform needed for global scale-up.

EnerVenue is currently completing a 250 MWh production line at its manufacturing hub in Changzhou, China, with plans to expand capacity to 1 GWh. The expansion is supported by a $300 million extension of the company’s Series B financing round, completed in early 2026.

The company’s fourth-generation AMC technology has been operating since November 2025 at a Towngas-operated site near Changzhou, where it integrates renewable energy generation with electric bus charging. The project uses the battery system’s deep-cycling capability to continuously charge and discharge over two-to-four-hour periods, helping match load demand and reduce energy costs.

With Mehta leading its commercial organization, EnerVenue aims to build a global project pipeline that can support the deployment of its expanding manufacturing capacity across international energy storage markets.
