The collaboration aims to help engineers design smaller, lighter and more energy-efficient systems across industrial and automotive applications.
Efficient Power Conversion Corp (EPC), headquartered in El Segundo, has signed a global distribution agreement with Mouser Electronics to expand worldwide access to its gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductor technologies. The partnership will allow Mouser to distribute EPC’s complete lineup of enhancement-mode gallium nitride on silicon (eGaN) field-effect transistors (FETs) and integrated circuits (ICs).
EPC’s product portfolio includes GaN devices ranging from 15V to 350V, designed for advanced power management and conversion applications. The company claims its latest-generation GaN technology delivers improved efficiency, faster switching speeds, and higher power density compared to traditional silicon MOSFETs, rival GaN offerings, and earlier EPC product generations.
The collaboration is expected to help engineers and manufacturers develop smaller, lighter, and more energy-efficient systems across several industries. Key applications include power converters, electric mobility motor drives, robotics, drones, and other next-generation electronic systems that demand compact and high-performance power solutions.
According to EPC senior vice-president of sales and marketing Nick Cataldo, the agreement supports the company’s strategy of reaching more engineers and designers adopting GaN technology because of its performance advantages over conventional silicon-based devices. He also noted that Mouser’s strong global distribution network will help broaden EPC’s market reach.
Mouser Electronics vice-president of supplier management Heather McGriff said EPC’s advanced power solutions complement Mouser’s existing semiconductor portfolio and align with the evolving needs of customers seeking high-efficiency power technologies. She added that the distributor is eager to build a long-term partnership with EPC and make these innovative GaN products more accessible to the global engineering community.
