Former Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp executive Amit Rana joins JSW MG Motor India to lead purchase and supply chain strategy.
JSW MG Motor India has appointed Amit Rana as Director of Purchase and Supply Chain, reinforcing its leadership team as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in the Indian automotive market.
Rana joins the automaker with extensive experience in procurement and supply chain management, having previously worked with leading automotive companies such as Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp. During his career, he has handled multiple strategic roles focused on sourcing, vendor development, and operational efficiency.
Announcing his new role through a LinkedIn post, Rana said his priority will be building a technology-driven procurement ecosystem aligned with the company’s evolving mobility vision. He emphasised the importance of strengthening supply chain capabilities to support innovation and operational agility.
The appointment signals JSW MG Motor India’s focus on enhancing procurement efficiency and supplier collaboration as it scales operations and expands its presence in India. Strengthening supply chain leadership is expected to play a key role in supporting future product development, localisation initiatives, and manufacturing optimisation.
