Foxconn Leads $20bn Polish Industrial Hub for AI Servers and EVs

Taiwanese technology giant anchors potentially historic foreign investment to establish advanced electronics manufacturing and R&D in Central Europe.

A Taiwanese tech consortium led by Foxconn is advancing a NT 650 billion (20 billion) dual-site manufacturing and development hub in Poland focused on artificial intelligence servers and electric vehicle components. Local officials have framed the project as potentially the largest foreign investment initiative in Poland’s history, aligning with Prime Minister Donald Tusk’s strategic push to elevate the national economy from lower-tier assembly toward high-value research and advanced manufacturing.

The development spans two major locations across southwestern Poland. In Lower Silesia, an industrial park backed by the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers’ Association and anchored by Foxconn is planned for Miękinia to manufacture AI servers and specialized electronics. Meanwhile, in Silesia, Foxconn’s electric vehicle arm Foxtron is partnering with state-owned ElectroMobility Poland to establish an EV production and R&D hub in Jaworzno. A formal joint venture is slated for establishment this autumn, with facility construction scheduled for spring 2027 ahead of targeted commercial production in 2029.

The Polish expansion forms part of Foxconn’s broader strategy to localize supply chains near key Western markets, following record annual revenues driven by global AI hardware demand. Alongside its European footprint, the contract electronics giant continues to scale up its primary manufacturing hubs across India and the United States.
