The expanded operations are expected to cover around 20 cities and 17 additional towns across Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana over the next 15 months.
Bengaluru based electric bus startup Fresh Bus has expanded its partnership with Vadodara based EV charging startup Charge Zone to deploy 400 additional electric buses across its charging network. This will take the strength of Fresh Bus’ fleet supported by Charge Zone’s infrastructure from 100 to 500 buses.
To support the fleet expansion, Charge Zone will deploy 30 MW of new charging capacity in addition to the existing 10 MW, taking the total capacity for Fresh Bus consumption to 40 MW. Charge Zone plans a 200 MW charging capacity across its national network.
At full-scale, the partnership is expected to deliver 100 million units annually, 20,000 passenger journeys per day, and reduce CO2 emissions by 9000 to 10000 tonnes annually.

Charge Zone operates over 15000 charging stations at 1200+ locations, across India and the UAE, serving passenger and commercial EVs. Fresh Bus operates electric intercity buses in India, offering real-time tracking services.
