In line with India’s renewable energy efforts, Grew Energy has secured a contract to supply 500MW of PV modules for Jindal Renewables’ solar project in Rajasthan.
On Tuesday, solar module manufacturer Grew Energy announced that it has secured a contract to supply 500MW of photovoltaic (PV) modules for a new solar power project in Rajasthan. The company confirmed that these modules will be delivered to Jindal Renewables for the project’s development.
As the company continues to expand its presence in the renewable energy sector, the PV modules will support Jindal Renewables’ upcoming solar plant, a key initiative to promote sustainability and renewable energy solutions in India’s energy landscape.
Bharat Saxena, President of Jindal Renewables, emphasised that the project underscores the company’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, particularly in the steel industry.
Saxena stated that the collaboration with Grew Energy is just the beginning, adding that the company is focused on adopting more renewable energy solutions to reduce emissions and drive cleaner production processes in steel manufacturing.
Grew Energy, a subsidiary of Chiripal Group, has a production capacity of around 6.4 GW for photovoltaic (PV) modules. While the company’s core operations include textiles and petrochemicals, it has also made significant strides in the renewable energy sector.
Previously, in September 2024, Grew Energy entered into a module supply agreement with BluePine Energy to provide TOPCon modules for an upcoming solar project in Banaskantha, Gujarat.
