From chip design to packaging expertise, HCLTech and Suchi Semicon’s alliance aims to reshape supply chains and accelerate technology adoption.
HCLTech has entered into a collaboration with Suchi Semicon to deliver advanced semiconductor solutions, targeting the growing demand across automotive, telecom, and consumer electronics sectors.
The partnership will combine HCLTech’s expertise in digital transformation and engineering services with Suchi Semicon’s manufacturing capabilities. The companies aim to streamline semiconductor design, production, and testing, while integrating automation and AI-driven processes to improve efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
According to details shared, the alliance is not an equity-based arrangement. Shetal Mehta, founder of Suchi Semicon and director of Suchi Industries, explained that both firms retain the flexibility to approach markets independently or jointly.
HCLTech brings deep design relationships and customer access, while Suchi brings manufacturing expertise in semiconductor packaging, Mehta said.
Industry observers note that the collaboration reflects wider efforts to strengthen India’s semiconductor ecosystem, as global supply chains face increasing pressure to meet demand for high-performance chips. The partnership is expected to enhance supply chain resilience and support innovation in critical sectors.
Electronics and semiconductor demand has surged in recent years, driven by rapid adoption of technologies such as 5G, electric vehicles, and connected consumer devices.
HCLTech has emphasised that the move aligns with its broader strategy to reinforce its role in the global semiconductor industry. With the sector undergoing rapid transformation, the collaboration is being seen as a step towards delivering solutions that address both current and future requirements.
