Hero MotoCorp To Launch Vida Electric Two-Wheeler In Europe And UK

Hero MotoCorp revealed its intention to enter the European and UK markets with its electric vehicle line, Vida, commencing in late 2025. At the EICMA event in Milan, the company showcased four new offerings, including the Vida Z electric scooter, underscoring its dedication to innovation and sustainability within the international mobility sector.

On Tuesday, Hero MotoCorp, the largest manufacturer of two-wheelers in the country, announced its strategic expansion plans into the European and UK markets, initiating with its electric vehicle brand, Vida, in the latter half of 2025. This move is part of the company’s broader ambition to bolster its international footprint. Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero MotoCorp, highlighted the significance of the company’s expansion plans by noting that they intend to enter the European and UK markets, spearheaded by their electric vehicle brand, Vida. At the EICMA event in Milan, the company unveiled four new offerings, including the electric scooter Vida Z. Hero MotoCorp’s global reach currently extends across 48 countries in Asia, Africa, and Latin America. Following this, there are plans to broaden their product line to include high-capacity, premium internal combustion engine motorcycles.

Hero MotoCorp developed the VIDA Z with a global customer base in mind, ensuring the new and existing product lines meet the current and future demands of the European markets. The firm also announced new distributorships, including Pelpi International S.r.l. in Italy, and outlined existing commercial agreements in Spain with Noria Motos SLU, in France with GD France, and in the UK with MotoGB UK.

In addition to the Vida Z, Hero MotoCorp also introduced three new motorcycles at EICMA: the Xpulse 210, the Xtreme 250R, and the Karizma XMR 250. Munjal expressed the company’s vision, emphasising their goal to redefine limits and establish new benchmarks in innovation and sustainability. He noted that their dedication to developing groundbreaking technologies is aimed at shaping a future of mobility that will benefit future generations.

Hero MotoCorp operates eight manufacturing facilities, with six located in India and one each in Colombia and Bangladesh. It also maintains two research and development centres: the Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in India and the Tech Centre Germany (TCG) near Munich.
