Expanding its India footprint, Holtek opens a Bengaluru office to strengthen local support, deepen customer engagement, and advance MCU solutions across key electronics and industrial sectors.
Holtek Semiconductor has opened a new office in Bengaluru’s Yeshwanthpur area at Brigade Tower, marking an expansion of its operations in southern India. The Taiwan-based microcontroller IC design company said the move is part of its broader effort to strengthen its regional presence and support customers in the Indian market.
Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Hsinchu Science Park, Holtek focuses on the design, development and sale of 8-bit and 32-bit microcontroller units (MCUs) and associated peripherals.
Its product portfolio includes both general-purpose and application-specific MCUs, serving sectors such as voice processing, communications, computer peripherals, home appliances, healthcare measurement, automotive systems, industrial control and security surveillance.
In addition, the company develops power management ICs, LCD and LED drivers and control chips, and sensor modules, aimed at enabling more integrated system-level solutions.
Holtek operates across multiple regions to support its global business. Alongside its headquarters in Taiwan, the company maintains a branch in Hong Kong and a subsidiary in India. Its China operations are managed through Holtek Semiconductor (China) Co., Ltd., based in Dongguan, which oversees application development, production support, sales and after-sales services.
The company’s strategy centres on continued product development and alignment with market demand. It is also working to leverage the semiconductor industry’s vertically specialised structure by integrating upstream and downstream capabilities, including IC design, wafer manufacturing, and packaging and testing services.
