Karbonn with over 15 years of industry presence said that it is going to re-establish its position in a market dominated by Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
Delhi-based domestic phone manufacturer Karbonn is set to reenter India’s smartphone market. The Indian mobile phone brand with over 15 years of industry presence said that it is going to re-establish its position in a market dominated by Chinese original equipment manufacturers (OEM).
While Karbonn didn’t divulge any details about its investment plans or production roadmap, its smartphones are expected to cater to the needs of young Indians.
“Over the last couple of years, India’s phone market has climbed in price while the number of Indians buying has flatlined, proof that some of our most important buyers are being priced out rather than served,” said Pradeep Jain, CEO & MD, Jaina Group.
The smartphones will aid the new age content creators and students to express themselves individually, and through a technology that reflects their aspirations. For India’s GenZ content is the expression of their point of view and the device is its canvas, added Jain.
