Honeywell Aerospace will repair and maintain Garuda Indonesia’s APUs for three years, covering three APU models across the airline’s fleet.
Honeywell Aerospace has signed a three-year agreement with PT Garuda Indonesia to provide repair and maintenance services for auxiliary power units (APUs) across the airline’s fleet. The agreement covers Honeywell’s 131-9B, 331-350, and 331-500 APU models.
The multi-year arrangement is intended to give Garuda greater predictability in repair costs and service expectations while supporting aircraft-maintenance planning. APUs provide electrical power and conditioned air when aircraft are on the ground, supporting aircraft and cabin systems during boarding and turnaround.
Honeywell operates 26 repair and overhaul facilities globally and works with more than 100 commercial air transport channel partner locations. The agreement expands its aftermarket presence in Indonesia and the broader Asia-Pacific region. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Separately, Honeywell has introduced P40, an upgrade to the F-35’s Power and Thermal Management System. It increases cooling capacity by 25%, from approximately 32kW to 40kW, to address rising thermal loads from sensors, mission systems, electronics, and onboard processing.
P40 combines software changes with targeted liquid-cooling improvements without requiring airframe modifications. Honeywell expects it to be fielded between 2029 and 2030. The company projects the upgrade will reduce Honeywell-attributable non-resettable in-flight shutdowns by about 30%.
