The Drone-as-a-Service platform is enabling real-time aerial intelligence for government agencies and industries ranging from mining and power to emergency response.
ideaForge Technology Limited is expanding the reach of FLYGHT, its Drone-as-a-Service (DaaS) platform, across government and industry applications as organisations increasingly adopt drone-powered intelligence for operational and decision-making needs. The company announced the expansion in Mumbai on June 11, 2026.
Launched in 2022, FLYGHT is an app-based platform that combines drone operations with real-time aerial intelligence and AI-driven analytics. According to the company, the platform is being used to support operational and tactical applications across multiple sectors.
The DaaS model was first deployed with the Uttarakhand Government, where ideaForge‘s Q6 V2 UAV was used for law enforcement, public safety and urban management. Applications included crowd monitoring, traffic management, encroachment tracking and aerial mapping.
Since then, the platform has expanded into sectors including mining, power, oil and gas, ports, fisheries, solar energy, IT and real estate. According to the company, deployments have supported applications such as stockpile management, mine safety, detection of vegetation encroachment along transmission lines, construction monitoring and coastal surveillance.
ideaForge said FLYGHT has also been integrated with C-DAC’s Emergency Response Support Systems (ERSS), enabling “Automated Aerial Dispatch”, which allows drones to reach incident locations within minutes of a distress call.
The company has provided DaaS services to organisations including Adani, Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL), Vedanta and SIS Limited.
Commenting on the platform’s growth, Sachin Pukale, AGM – Product Management at ideaForge Technology, said, “We developed our DaaS model because we realised that while organisations need aerial intelligence, managing a drone fleet isn’t core to their business.”
The company also highlighted its app-based Drone Franchise model, under which it provides DGCA-certified drone hardware while local franchise partners manage ground operations using the FLYGHT platform.
