Driving global innovation through EV tech and sustainable solutions, India and Russia forge a dynamic partnership for shared progress.
India and Russia have announced a major push toward innovation, EV technology and sustainable solutions, marking a new phase in their strategic partnership. Addressing the India Russia Business Forum in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said India is prepared to work closely with Russia to develop sustainable responses to global challenges. He affirmed that both nations are committed to raising bilateral trade to $100 billion by 2030, adding that the strong momentum between the two sides suggests the target will be reached ahead of time.
Modi highlighted that simplified and predictable mechanisms are being readied to support business activity. He also noted that discussions have begun on a Free Trade Agreement between India and the Eurasian Economic Union. Emphasising mutual trust as the foundation of the relationship, he said this trust provides direction and energy to joint initiatives.
The collaboration will place special focus on EV manufacturing, automotive components and wireless mobility technology. Modi added that India is emerging as the skilled capital of the world, with its youth well positioned to meet global needs. He further stated that India supplies high quality and affordable medicines worldwide.
Both countries have also taken steps to ease tourist visa processes, a move expected to boost travel, enhance business links and create new employment opportunities. Modi underlined that India and Russia are embarking on a new journey of innovation, co production and co creation, with the goal of supporting global development, particularly in regions such as Africa.
