During EVangelise ’23, hosted by iCreate in Ahmedabad, the Bengaluru-based startup Auklr Technologies unveiled an intelligent instrument cluster for electric vehicles.

At EVangelise ’23, organized by iCreate in Ahmedabad, the Indian startup Auklr Technologies from Bengaluru unveiled an intelligent instrument cluster for electric vehicles. This technology aims to revolutionize the EV driving experience by tackling existing challenges in EV instrumentation and introducing a new phase of connected data-driven interfaces.

Auklr’s digital instrument cluster seeks to transform the automotive industry, especially for electric vehicles. It offers a clear, effective display of crucial vehicle information to the driver in real time, focusing on reducing distractions and improving the driving experience. Auklr aims to rank among the top five Automotive AI companies worldwide and evolve into a successful international technology conglomerate, creating affordable, disruptive technology solutions.

At EVangelise ’23, Ashok Babu, founder and CEO, and Rakesh Naveen, co-founder and CBO of Auklr, discussed the instrument cluster’s customization options for various electric vehicles, with a current focus on small and medium vehicles. The company addresses the monopoly in the Digital Cluster industry by designing its own digital clusters and interacting directly with EV startups.  The founders believe in evolving from traditional analogue meters to all-digital clusters that enhance safety and convenience.

Naveen pointed out the unique aspects of their product, especially its dynamic and customizable Android-based interface, which sets it apart from competitors mainly offering Linux-based solutions. Despite being a new entrant in this field, Auklr has quickly made significant strides, competing with established players like Bosch and Continental.

Their use of AI is a major differentiator. Their Auklr OS processes data from various vehicle systems, like the Battery Management System, providing real-time insights and features that competitors do not offer. They have also collaborated with Odysse’s electric motorcycle, integrating their smart BMS into the instrument cluster. The founders emphasize Auklr’s unique position in controlling both hardware and software aspects. Additionally, their AI integration extends to a cloud platform that offers live tracking, trip analysis, and insights into driving behaviour, assisting in predictive maintenance and insurance decisions.
