Partnering to electrify India, Indofast Energy and e-Sprinto aim to deploy 20,000 EVs by 2026 via battery-swapping network.
Indofast Energy on Thursday announced a strategic partnership with e-Sprinto to deploy 20,000 electric two-wheelers across India by 2026. The collaboration will integrate e-Sprinto’s electric vehicles with Indofast Energy’s expanding battery-swapping network, aimed at revolutionising delivery operations in the quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors.
The initiative will focus on establishing battery-swapping infrastructure along high-demand corridors, ensuring seamless operations for fleet operators and delivery companies. Indofast Energy CEO Anant Badjatya said on the topic, “By integrating e-Sprinto’s high-quality vehicles with our network, we are expanding our reach across diverse customer segments and accelerating our ambitious EV deployment targets.”
Indofast Energy is a 50:50 joint venture between IndianOil Corporation Ltd and SUN Mobility, and has been actively collaborating with several electric vehicle providers, including Zypp, Omega Seiki Mobility, Shadowfax, Triev, and Wickedride. The company’s battery-swapping model allows delivery fleets to quickly replace depleted batteries, reducing downtime and enhancing operational efficiency.
With India’s electric mobility ecosystem gaining momentum, this partnership is expected to strengthen infrastructure and support wider adoption of electric two-wheelers. The combined effort underscores a growing trend of integrating vehicle manufacturers with battery-swapping networks to address range anxiety and operational challenges in the country’s fast-expanding delivery sector.
