Intex Unveils Expansion Plans for its Portfolio

The announcement comes amid strong growth in Intex’s Consumer Durables business

Intex Technologies has recently unveiled its plans to expand its Home Appliances portfolio. The agenda behind this expansion is to strengthen its presence in India’s growing consumer durables market.

The company is adding a wider range of fans, including decorative, energy-efficient BLDC, exhaust and TPW (table, pedestal and wall) models. Intex is also entering the water heater segment, offering storage and instant geysers in multiple capacities to cater to different household requirements.

The company is further expanding its small domestic appliances portfolio with products such as irons, mixer grinders, juicer mixer grinders, air fryers, electric kettles and cooktops. According to Intex, the new products have been developed with a focus on design, functionality and reliability.

The expansion is intended to create a more comprehensive Home Appliances business that addresses both seasonal and everyday household needs. By entering complementary product categories, the company aims to offer consumers a broader range of value-driven products under a single brand.

The announcement comes amid strong growth in Intex’s Consumer Durables business, which recorded 80 per cent year-on-year growth in FY26, supported by demand for Smart TVs, air conditioners and washing machines.

Keshav Bansal, Director, Intex Technologies, said the growth in the consumer durables segment reflects increasing consumer trust in the brand. He added that the expansion into fans, water heaters and small domestic appliances is a natural progression of the company’s strategy to build a more comprehensive portfolio that delivers quality, reliability and value at accessible price points.

India’s home appliances market continues to grow, driven by rising household incomes, increasing appliance penetration beyond metro cities and greater preference for established brands offering products across multiple categories. Intex sees significant opportunities in Tier II and Tier III markets and plans to leverage its nationwide distribution network, retail partnerships and after-sales service capabilities to expand its presence further.
