Kyoritsu Electric is expanding its India operations into semiconductors, AI, electronics manufacturing, and data centres while advancing physical AI for factory automation.
Japanese factory-automation firm Kyoritsu Electric Corporation is expanding its focus on India, with its business there moving beyond electrical facility testing and automation into semiconductors, AI, electronics manufacturing, and data-centre applications.
The Shizuoka-headquartered company provides factory-automation solutions covering measurement, control, information processing, electrical and machine analysis, and detection. Kyoritsu India Joint Managing Director Prashant Patil said its India team has grown from 20 employees to 150 over the past seven years.
Kyoritsu is also positioning physical AI for factory automation, particularly defective-product detection. President Nobuyuki Nishi said, “Regarding detection of defective product in the factory, AI is not good. Because AI studies from big date which does not have any fault case. To prepare factory automation system, physical AI must study various big data which includes fault case and most appropriate big data. Kyoritsu provides one stop solution to customers. We have most appropriate data for physical AI base factory automation.”
Kyoritsu’s one-stop model is supported by 25 specialised companies globally, with India and Thailand among its biggest businesses across nine countries.
Nishi described the company’s approach as: “Kyoritsu does not catch up top industrial trend but progress half step behind of top trend. It is not bad situation for us.”
Patil said Kyoritsu’s operating principles include staying “on time” and maintaining “360 views” across business functions. He added, “Mutual understanding of Japanese and Indian will grow up business dynamically.”
