In May 2011, Binay Opto launched an LED tubelight model—42L—an in-place replacement solution for existing fluorescent tubelights.
Features and USP: This product is designed to directly fit into an existing standard fluorescent tubelight luminaire or strip, after removing the starter and shorting the existing electromagnetic choke/ballast terminals. The model 42L-C-4 PowerLED tubelight does not use small chip (SMD/5 mm/4-leg) LEDs, but is designed with high illumination power LEDs that have a life of 50,000 to 100,000 hours. Its simplified passive control circuitry provides high reliability of drivers, and there is no active SMPS circuitry involved. It contributes to power factor improvement and its large chip power LED construction helps in ensuring efficient thermal management of the LED chip, thus providing high reliability and long life. The product is covered under the Patent Application No 843/Kol/2010 (dated 2.08.2010).
