Powering India’s data boom, Lexar partners with Supertron to expand nationwide distribution of high-speed storage solutions across consumer and enterprise markets.
Lexar, a global manufacturer of memory and storage solutions, has named Supertron Electronics Pvt Ltd as its authorised distributor across India. Under the new partnership, Supertron will distribute a range of Lexar products, including USB drives, internal and portable solid-state drives (SSDs), microSD cards, and DRAM modules. These products will be made available to both consumer and enterprise segments.
The appointment comes as Lexar looks to scale its operations in India, where demand for data storage is growing due to increased digital activity. The company aims to build on its existing market position in India, where it currently holds a leading share in the CF Express and SD card categories.
“India is a key market for Lexar, offering immense growth potential,” said Fissal Oubida, Lexar’s General Manager – India, Middle East, and Africa. “Supertron’s deep understanding of the Indian market and its strong distribution capabilities make them an ideal partner. Together, we aim to accelerate our reach and make Lexar’s innovative storage solutions accessible to a broader consumer base.”
Supertron, an Indian distribution company with a network that spans over 750 cities and more than 15,000 channel partners, will handle the logistics, sales, and support of Lexar’s product line.
Speaking about the partnership, Vibhor Agarwal, CEO of Supertron noted a strong demand for high-performance storage products across different customer groups.
“This collaboration enhances our product portfolio and allows us to offer our customers best-in-class memory solutions backed by Lexar’s global expertise,” he said.
The companies have not disclosed specific financial details of the agreement or sales targets. However, both parties indicated that the initial focus will be on increasing product availability and awareness in major Indian cities before expanding further.
