To propel India’s electronics sector into global markets and innovation-driven opportunities, IndiaSoft 2025 sparks growth with major MOUs, enhancing India-US tech ties.
At the Incredible Inc.50 Awards ceremony at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, last week, as part of the 25th edition of IndiaSoft, two memorandums of understanding (MOUs) were signed to enhance tech collaboration between India and the United States.
The agreements are set to support the growth of India’s electronics sector, including improving its access to international markets.
The first MOU, a Letter of Intent, was signed by the Electronics and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC), the US India SME Council (USISME), and the Indiana Secretary of State. This agreement focuses on fostering business relations in the electronics and software industries, particularly in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
It includes provisions for facilitating information exchange, encouraging business delegations, and organising joint seminars and workshops. The MoU also outlines advisory services to assist businesses in navigating industry trends and identifying growth opportunities.
In another separate agreement, the ESC and the Electronics City Industries Association (ELCIA) signed an MoU aimed at developing India’s electronics manufacturing ecosystem.
The agreement will help local manufacturers access global markets, providing support through mentorship, industry reports, and participation in international trade events. The two organisations will also collaborate on organising seminars and offering sector-specific guidance.
“These agreements mark a crucial step toward deeper industry cooperation and enabling greater international engagement for Indian technology firms. We are creating new avenues for innovation, trade, and investment by building stronger linkages with global markets,” commented Mr Gurmeet Singh, Executive Director, ESC.
The signing of these agreements comes at a time when India’s electronics and ICT industries are experiencing rapid growth. According to MeitY, India’s domestic electronics production has grown at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 19.78%.
The IndiaSoft 2025, held from March 19-21, 2025, brought together technology companies, policymakers, and investors to discuss business opportunities and emerging trends in the global technology landscape.
