The SAMRIDH programme supported five Andhra Pradesh startups across technology-focused sectors through its selected accelerator in Visakhapatnam.
The ministry of electronics and information technology’s (MeitY’s) Startup Accelerator of MeitY for Product Innovation, Development, and Growth (SAMRIDH) programme supported five startups in Andhra Pradesh through the Kalpataru centre of excellence (CoE) in Visakhapatnam.
The programme was designed to help startups scale by connecting them with established and emerging accelerators across sectors including health-tech, ed-tech, agri-tech, consumer-tech, fintech, software as a service (SaaS) and sustainability. SAMRIDH concluded on January 31, 2026, after targeting support for around 300 startups.
Over the past five years, seven accelerators from Andhra Pradesh submitted Expressions of Interest (EoIs) to participate in the programme. Four applications came from Visakhapatnam, while the remaining accelerators were based in Ananthapuramu, Guntur and West Godavari districts.
The Kalpataru CoE, operated by AIC STPINEXT Initiatives in Visakhapatnam, was selected to implement the programme in the state.
Under SAMRIDH, MeitY Startup Hub (MSH), operating under Digital India Corporation (DIC), evaluates participating accelerators using quantitative and qualitative parameters. The assessment also tracks the annual growth in revenue and valuation of startups receiving support.
The programme provides selected accelerators with financial assistance of ₹200k per startup. Eligible startups can also receive matching funding of up to ₹4 million, subject to the scheme’s guidelines.
In Andhra Pradesh, five startups were selected through the Kalpataru CoE. These include Aerogravity Private Limited, Cairovision Private Limited, Epsum Labs Private Limited, Scraptechies Solutions Private Limited and Voptimaise Climate Tech Solutions Private Limited.
According to the government, ₹18.1 million was allocated and disbursed to the Visakhapatnam-based accelerator for implementing SAMRIDH in Andhra Pradesh.
The programme reflects efforts to expand India’s startup support ecosystem beyond established technology centres, while providing early-stage companies with access to funding, acceleration programmes and business development opportunities.
