The Ministry of Education, All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and Microsoft have recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to create skilling and job readiness for students and educators associated with AICTE and its partner institutions through a wide array of learning paths, technical and role-based certifications and experiences in areas including AI, Cloud, data science, data analytics, and security.
In this collaboration, Microsoft will integrate Microsoft Learn into AICTE’s curriculum, providing students with practical exposure to Microsoft technologies. Additionally, students will gain industry insights and mentorship through the Azure Developer Community in India. Azure Handbooks will grant access for students and educators to work on projects addressing various industries like manufacturing, retail, healthcare, and education. The Future Ready Talent Program will also be available to enhance students’ skills and offer virtual mentorship for technology projects, bolstering their competencies.
Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister of Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India, said, “In the time of digitisation, new ideas, innovations and new creativity, these technology companies’ partnerships with the education family (Shikshaa Parivar) are going to create new standards and benchmarks not only for our Indian students but with their knowledge and capacity, it will go beyond. These companies’ partnerships for internship and competence will undoubtedly be helpful for all of us.“
