Fueling innovation across industries, MosChip joins Renesas as an AI/ML design partner for the latter’s RZ/V MPUs to deliver cutting-edge automotive and healthcare solutions.
MosChip Technologies has become an artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) design partner within the Renesas RZ partner network, to provide solutions on the Renesas RZ/V series of microprocessor units (MPUs).
The RZ partner ecosystem connects trusted technology partners who provide commercial-grade building blocks for Renesas products, facilitating the rapid development of customer systems.
This collaboration aims to expedite the development and deployment of AI/ML-powered solutions to meet the increasing demands of industries such as automotive, industrial automation, healthcare, and consumer electronics.
Specialising in system-on-chip (SoC) design, software, connectivity, vision, and AI/ML solutions across various industrial sectors, MosChip will collaborate with Renesas and its global partners in this role.
The company has developed intelligent solutions, including smart safety with PPE kit detection, patient monitoring systems, ADAS brake alerts with distance monitoring, and action recognition with pose estimation, using the Renesas RZ/V series MPUs with DRP-AI accelerators.
Renesas’ RZ/V series MPUs aims to deliver comprehensive vision AI solutions with high power efficiency. These enable fast real-time AI processing and robust inference performance for robotics, home appliances, and industrial automation applications, all without the need for cooling fans or heat sinks.
