Offering 1400+ battery-swapping stations, cutting downtime, and boosting efficiency for commercial fleets across India, Okaya EV teams up with Battery Smart to revolutionise electric mobility.
Electric vehicle manufacturer Okaya EV has recently partnered with Battery Smart, one of India’s largest battery-swapping chains. This collaboration aims to integrate Okaya’s electric scooters with Battery Smart’s network of over 1400 battery-swapping stations across more than 35 cities in the country.
Supporting EV adoption, this will enable riders to swap depleted batteries for fully charged ones in under two minutes, improving convenience and addressing challenges such as range anxiety and charging downtime.
The partnership targets commercial operators in the ride-hailing and last-mile delivery sectors. Fleet operators using Okaya vehicles will benefit from instant battery swaps at the locations, reducing operational downtime from hours to just a few minutes.
With more time on the road, operators can complete more deliveries, boosting revenue potential. Additionally, the collaboration enhances the reliability of long-distance travel, empowering commercial fleet operations to be more efficient and productive.
However, the companies are yet to disclose financial information regarding this deal.
