South India’s kitchens are heating up; not with fire, but with innovation, as On2Cook teams up with Suba Equipment to bring faster, smarter connected cooking solutions.

Kitchen tech firm On2Cook has partnered with Suba Equipment to distribute its cooking devices across seven states in southern India, aiming to improve efficiency in commercial kitchens through advanced cooking technology.

The announcement was made during the Bakery Business & HoReCa 2025 event in Hyderabad, a key industry gathering for stakeholders in food service and hospitality.

The partnership will cover major markets in South India, including Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Kerala. Suba Equipment, a longstanding supplier of commercial kitchen and bakery equipment, will serve as On2Cook’s regional distribution and service partner.

“We chose Suba because of their strong network and deep understanding of the region’s culinary operations,” said Jyoti Sudhir, Executive Director at On2Cook. “They are well-placed to support our growth in a market that is both diverse and demanding.”

On2Cook’s device combines induction and microwave heating to cook food more quickly while preserving nutrients. The company claims the method reduces cooking time by up to 70% and cuts energy usage by over 40%.

Suba Equipment, headquartered in Coimbatore, has over 1000 clients nationwide and supplies over 300 types of kitchen equipment. The company also maintains partnerships with multiple international brands and provides technical support across South India.

Rajesh Nair, Business Head at Suba Equipment, welcomed the collaboration. “There is growing demand for technology that saves time and energy in commercial kitchens. On2Cook offers a practical solution that fits current operational challenges,” he said.

The partnership is expected to support kitchen upgrades across food businesses ranging from small cloud kitchens to large institutional setups. Both companies say they plan to focus on after-sales support and local engagement to promote adoption of the technology.

Founded in 2022, On2Cook is a startup based in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, India and focuses on developing energy-efficient, AI-enabled, connected cooking systems for both home and commercial use.
