Driving OPG Mobility’s EV surge, Ajay Dhiman takes charge as President, COO and CTO, bringing 20+ years of automotive expertise to power innovation.
OPG Mobility, formerly known as Okaya EV, has named Ajay Dhiman as President, Chief Operating Officer (COO), and Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Dhiman will now lead the company’s electric vehicle (EV) and EV components business.
In his new role, he will oversee operations, manufacturing, research and development (R&D), product development, quality control, sourcing, and supply chain. He will also drive the company’s overall technology and business strategy.
Dhiman brings more than two decades of experience in the automotive industry. He previously held the position of Senior Vice-President at Revolt Motors, where he was credited with advancing product development and improving electric mobility offerings.
His earlier roles include key positions at Honda, Renault-Nissan, Subros, and Sonalika Group, where he worked across multiple vehicle segments including two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers.
Commenting on the appointment, Anshul Gupta, Managing Director of OPG Mobility, said the company is entering a crucial growth phase. He noted that Dhiman’s expertise in both traditional automotive systems and emerging EV technologies would support faster innovation and execution.
Dhiman expressed enthusiasm about joining the company during what he called a “transformative phase.” He praised OPG Mobility’s inclusive and innovation-led approach and said he is eager to help strengthen the company’s product pipeline, enhance operational performance, and deliver forward-looking mobility solutions for India.
