Powering into its 25th year, BPE appoints Lalit Pratap to lead its UK entry and sets its sights on global growth and inclusive innovation.
Power solutions provider Best Power Equipments (BPE) has appointed Lalit Pratap as Director-UK Operations, as a step towards its global expansion. The company announced that this move marks its formal entry into the UK market.
Mr Pratap brings over 20 years of experience in international finance and leadership. His background spans fundraising, mergers and acquisitions, tax and treasury planning, and governance. He has previously worked with banks, funds, and trading firms across different geographies.
BPE’s Group Managing Director, Amitansu Satpathy, described the appointment as a timely and strategic decision. “Mr Pratap’s leadership and financial expertise will support our next phase of growth in the UK,” he said, “His insights will help BPE deliver value in a dynamic and competitive market.”
Mr Pratap expressed enthusiasm about his new role. “BPE is entering an exciting phase of international growth. I look forward to working with the team and building strong partnerships across the UK,” he commented.
Founded in 2000 with ₹150,000, BPE is now a ₹5 billion enterprise offering over 1200 products, including UPS systems and energy storage solutions. The company already operates in 14 countries, serving industries such as banking, telecom, retail, and government.
Recently, BPE celebrated its silver jubilee with a gathering of 350 global partners, marking 25 years of operations.

Looking ahead, as it targets ₹10 billion revenue in the next three years, the company continues to invest in international growth, innovation, and initiatives like mobile digital classrooms for rural India.
