Last week, Bengaluru-based semiconductor company ChipEdge announced the appointment of Damodaran Subramanian as its new Chief Executive Officer and board member.
With over 30 years of experience in the automotive and aerospace sectors, the company hopes Subramanian will bring extensive expertise in managing large engineering operations for multinational corporations.
In addition to his new role at ChipEdge, Subramanian will continue his responsibilities at Celton Semiconductors. The synergy between ChipEdge and Celton Semiconductors is set to advance VLSI and Embedded Electronic product development and engineering.
As noted by Venkat Sunkara, the founder and president of ChipEdge, Subramanian’s arrival comes as the company is on its way to unveil its next phase of growth, ChipEdge 2.0, which aims to tackle talent challenges in the semiconductor industry through cutting-edge technologies and innovative learning methods.
Subramanian, who has commendable experience in aerospace and defence, is also pursuing a PhD at Christ University, Bangalore, where he focuses on AI and machine learning applications for business innovation.
