Degson Names Pravin Prajapati as Country Sales Manager for India

As India’s EV and industrial connectivity markets expand, Degson Electronics has appointed industry veteran Pravin Prajapati to lead its sales and business development efforts.

Degson Electronics has appointed Pravin Prajapati as country sales manager for India, strengthening its leadership team as the company seeks to expand its presence in the country’s electric vehicle (EV) and industrial connectivity markets.

In his new role, Prajapati will be responsible for driving business growth across India, with a focus on EV connectivity solutions for two-, three- and four-wheelers, industrial connectors and new business development.

He will also work with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), Tier-1 suppliers, distributors and channel partners to support the company’s business expansion.

Prajapati brings nearly two decades of experience in the electronics components and semiconductor industry.

During his career, he has held sales and business development positions at companies including Volex, Amphenol Communications Solutions and Würth Elektronik, where he worked across sectors such as automotive electronics, industrial automation, telecommunications, power electronics and EV infrastructure.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Ningbo, China, Degson Electronics manufactures electrical interconnection products, including terminal blocks, industrial connectors, circular connectors, EV charging connectors and energy storage connectivity solutions.

The company serves customers across industrial automation, renewable energy, transportation and telecommunications, with products supplied to more than 100 countries.

India has emerged as an important market for manufacturers of industrial connectivity products, supported by increasing investment in electric mobility, industrial automation and electronics manufacturing.

Demand for reliable connectors is expected to grow alongside the expansion of EV production, charging infrastructure and factory automation.

Prajapati announced his appointment through a LinkedIn post, stating that he looks forward to working with customers, partners and distributors across India to support business growth and strengthen long-term industry collaborations.
