From enterprise transformation to customer engagement, CY Chan steps into a leadership role at element14, shaping APAC sales and service strategy for sustainable growth and partnerships.
element14, part of Avnet, has appointed CY Chan as Vice President, Sales and Service for the Asia-Pacific region. The company says that this new appointment reflects its focus on strengthening its executive leadership and enhancing customer engagement across APAC.
In his new role, Chan will oversee regional sales and service operations, reporting directly to Rebeca Obregon, President of element14. His responsibilities include driving sustainable growth, improving operational efficiency, and deepening customer partnerships, all aligned with the company’s global strategy.
Obregon highlighted Chan’s nearly two decades of experience at Avnet, noting his understanding of customer needs and market dynamics.
“With nearly 20 years of experience at Avnet, CY has a deep understanding of our customers, our markets, and what it takes to build sustainable growth. His transition into this role reflects our confidence in his ability to combine a strong commercial focus with a genuine commitment to customer success,” she said.
With experience in enterprise transformation, mergers and acquisitions, and business integration, Chan has previously led initiatives to establish market intelligence frameworks, centralised analytics functions and robotic process automation teams.
He has also overseen AI-enabled quotation and pricing systems and the creation of an Asia Quote Centre, all aimed at improving efficiency and decision-making.
Recognised for a collaborative leadership style, Chan emphasised that element14’s position in APAC has been built on close customer engagement and adaptability.
He stated his priorities would be to reinforce sales and service strategies, expand partnerships and ensure consistent execution to support customers throughout their product journey.
