As Xiaomi continues to grow in the Indian market, its Indian subsidiary appoints senior industry leader Sandeep Singh Arora to lead its business operations.
Xiaomi India has appointed industry veteran Sandeep Singh Arora as its Chief Business Officer (CBO). In his new role, Arora will oversee revenue expansion, foster new partnerships, and strengthen the Chinese tech giant’s market presence in India.
With over 30 years of experience in consumer brand management, Arora brings expertise in product marketing, retail operations, category management, and brand strategy. His most recent role was with Samsung India’s Consumer Electronics division, where he led the online business unit and later headed marketing communications.
Before his tenure at Samsung, Arora held senior positions, including Vice President of Marketing at Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India Group), Category Director and Executive Vice President of Marketing at PepsiCo India, and leadership roles at Unilever.
He holds a postgraduate diploma in business management and marketing from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad.
Arora expressed excitement about his new position, applauding Xiaomi’s values, culture, and dynamism, which align with his own. Arora also emphasised that his focus will be on delivering innovative products to meet the aspirations of Indian consumers.
According to Xiaomi India, Arora’s extensive leadership experience and industry insights will be key in navigating an evolving market. The company is looking to accelerate growth and drive innovation throughout the year, with Arora expected to play a crucial role in achieving these goals.
