Philips inaugurates new lounge in Durgapur

Strengthening its footprint in Eastern India, Philips Lighting, a global leader in lighting, recently inaugurated a new Light Lounge in Durgapur, West Bengal. It is the company’s first exclusive outlet in the city and the 19th branded store in Eastern India. Philips Light Lounges’ showcase an elaborate range of Philips Lighting products and solutions for home decoration.

Commenting on the launch, Harsh Chitale, Vice-Chairman and MD, Philips Lighting India Limited opined that Eastern India has become a fast growing market for Philips Lighting and Philips is rapidly expanding our presence in the region.

There is a growing demand for LED lighting and energy efficient lighting products, as customers are becoming more aware about their advantages. Philips Light lounges’ offer products to address all the lighting needs of customers under roof, along with expert advice from our well trained staff.

This latest Philips Light Lounge is spread across an area of 800 square feet and hosts an impressive display of over 600 world-class home decorative lighting designs and concepts designed keeping in mind the lighting needs of Indian consumers, home décor trends in the country and the emerging concept of connected ambient lighting.

The store also features the recently launched Philips Hue – the world’s smartest web-enabled LED home lighting system which allows users to create and control the light using their smartphone.

Lighting plays a vital role in interior designing and Philips Home Decorative Lighting range is a unique offering in the market catering to the evolving lifestyle needs of Indian consumers.
