Huawei Consumer Business Group will be showcasing the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS on November 27, 2018 in India. The latest Huawei smartphone, claimed to be developed in tandem with Porsche Design will be showcased during the launch of Huawei Mate 20 series smartphones. Trying to boost smartphone sales, this is the first time that Huawei is bringing this line-up to India.
A press release issued by Huawei said, “Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS is designed for strength and style with a sleek handcrafted exterior representing the pinnacle in mobile luxury and mobile AI, offering aesthetically pleasing curves.”

The official Porsche website has listed the phone for 1,595 Euros which roughly translates to Rs 1,27,860. However the company has not revealed the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS India price yet. Whether the phone will be available for buying in India or not is also not confirmed.

The company claims that the rear camera setup has been designed taking ques from the classic four-point headlight. The rear also boosts premium leather and glass construction. Artisan textures on the leather do give the Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS a premium look that can appeal to a lot of premium smartphone consumers. Huawei is claiming this latest smartphone to be the ‘trinity of beauty’.
A tweet made through the official Porsche Design Twitter handle read, “Co-designed for our most discerning customer. The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS combines luxury, performance and the world´s first 7nm dual-chipset.”

The Porsche Design Huawei Mate 20 RS comes equipped with a 6.39-inches OLED screen that supports 16.7 million colors and offers 2K+ 3120 x 1440, 538 PPI resolution. It has a 8 GB RAM and inbuilt 256 GB memory that can be extended to support 256 GBs more using a NM card that Huawei will be selling separately.
Huawei Porsche Design Mate 20 RS’ camera setup looks one of its USP’s, at least on the paper. Huawei claims the rear camera setup, consisting of three Leica cameras – 40 MP (Wide Angle Lens, f/1.8 aperture) + 20 MP (Ultra Wide Angle Lens, f/2.2 aperture) + 8 MP (Telephoto, f/2.4 aperture), supports auto focus and AI image stabilization. The front camera, a 24 MP shooter with f/2.0 aperture as per the company supports 3D depth sensing camera.
Huawei Porsche Design Mate 20 RS supports mp3, mp4, 3gp, ogg, amr, aac, flac, wav and midi audio formats. The video formats supported by the latest Huawei smartphone include 3gp and mp4.
Huawei has equipped the phone with a 4200 mAh battery that supports Max 40 W Huawei SuperCharge and 15 W Huawei wireless quick charging.
