Eyeing to transform STEM education with hands-on AI kits, coding tools, and affordable teacher training for just ₹500/month, Purple Technologies unveils its AI & Robotics Lab in Vijayawada.
Purple Technologies has introduced its AI & Robotics Lab in Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh, an initiative to enhance the teaching of STEM subjects, artificial intelligence (AI), and robotics in schools.
According to the company, the lab will provide students with practical exposure to these fields and help develop the skills necessary for the future workforce. It also aims to bridge the gap between classroom learning and real-world applications.
The lab offers a range of resources, including AI and Robotics kits for hands-on learning, a coding platform with AI/ML tools, and a certified teacher development programme (TDP).
The TDP involves a five-day training session for educators, followed by ongoing technical support. Additionally, a TechHub mobile app has been introduced, which will provide subscribed students with resources to continue their learning outside of class.
The lab is also designed to be scalable, with the company offering a subscription-based model to schools. Schools need a dedicated space of 800-1000 square feet to implement the lab, two high-performance PCs, and basic classroom infrastructure.
The subscription costs ₹500 per student per month, aiming to make the programme accessible to a broader range of students.
Purple Technologies highlighted that the initiative is part of a broader commitment to incorporating AI, coding, and robotics into education. However, the approach and model may not be universally accessible, and schools must evaluate whether the infrastructure and costs are viable for their specific contexts.
Founder of Purple Technologies, Mobina MD, stated that the goal of the lab is to foster innovation, problem-solving, and creativity in students. Introducing this AI & Robotics Lab is one of several efforts to adapt education to the evolving demands of the global workforce.
