5-months old smartphone player, RealMe sells a record 1 million devices in Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sales and hopes to get luckier throughout the festive season
Realme smartphones have hit 1 million sales in its very first ‘Big Billion Days’ on Flipkart. The e-commerce platform has announced that the brand ranks second in its festive sales drive. Realme C1 has recorded a sale of 110,000 devices in a second.
Commenting on its success, Madhav Sheth, Chief Executive Officer Realme India, said, “We’re happy to have enabled a record-breaking 1 million Realme sellout in just 4 days of Flipkart’s Big Billion Days sale; this is a record-breaking achievement for just a 5-month old brand.” He added that the brand has been a significant contributor to the Big Billion Days sales and emerged as one of the fastest selling brands.
RealMe success
Realme has been consistently topping the charts as one of the most preferred smartphones, especially among the youth since its debut in the smartphones segment in India. The brand is known for offering performance-based and high on design smartphones. It was rated as the top leader in the consumer satisfaction in India from June to August 2018 by Strategy Analytics recently.
The devices will be on sale in the 3rd week of October on Flipkart’s next round of sales festival.
