Resonia has won the Kurnool IV REZ transmission project in Telangana, aimed at supporting 3 GW renewable energy evacuation and strengthening interstate grid connectivity.
Resonia has secured the Kurnool IV REZ Power Transmission project in Telangana from the Ministry of Power, marking a key step in strengthening renewable energy transmission infrastructure in southern India.
According to Economic Times, the project is designed to facilitate the evacuation of nearly 3 GW of renewable energy planned under Kurnool IV REZ Phase II.
The project includes setting up a 765/400 kV Doma substation, upgrading the existing Kurnool-IV pooling station, and developing associated transmission infrastructure spanning nearly 120 km.
The scope also includes LILO of the Kurnool-IV–Bidar 765 kV double-circuit transmission line at Doma, along with two 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting the Doma substation to substations at Shadnagar and Kethireddipally.
“As renewable energy capacity scales rapidly, resilient and high-capacity transmission systems are critical for seamless power evacuation and grid stability,” said Prashant Sinha, CEO of Resonia Ltd.
The company said the project will increase transmission connectivity between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, enhance grid flexibility, and support large-scale renewable energy integration into the national grid.
