From India’s ‘Make in India’ ambitions to global semiconductor supply chains, ROHM and Suchi Semicon forge a partnership to boost manufacturing resilience and industry growth.
ROHM Co, Ltd and Suchi Semicon Pvt Ltd have announced a semiconductor manufacturing partnership in India, effective 1 March 2026. As a part of the partnership, ROHM is considering outsourcing back-end processes for power devices and IC products to Suchi Semicon, with technical evaluations already underway.
The mass production shipments could begin later in 2026. The partnership also includes plans to expand the range of locally manufactured packages, broadening the scope of collaboration.
Beyond manufacturing, the alliance will explore new business opportunities to meet the rising demand for locally produced semiconductors. Joint marketing initiatives will leverage Suchi Semicon’s local expertise to enhance customer engagement and visibility.
The companies acknowledged that the collaboration aims to strengthen India’s semiconductor ecosystem while supporting both domestic and international markets. Together, the companies intend to establish a reliable and scalable framework aligned with industry requirements and India’s “Make in India” initiative.
Suchi Semicon, based in India, focuses on building back-end manufacturing capabilities for sectors including automotive, industrial, consumer and energy. The company is investing in infrastructure and quality systems to align with international standards. ROHM, established in 1958, is a global supplier of ICs, discretes and electronic components. Its strengths in analogue and power markets enable system-level solutions, including SiC power devices and drive ICs.
