Samsung Electronics and TCL Technologies expect to create avenues for closer collaboration in the display panel value chain.
Samsung Display transferred its 10.16 per cent stake in TCL China Star Optoelectronics Technology (TCL CSOT) to its parent company Samsung electronics, on Wednesday, to strengthen strategic collaboration between the two companies.
While TCL Technology will continue to maintain its holdings at 82.82 percent in TCL CSOT, Samsung electronics will become a direct shareholder in the firm. TCL technology said that the change in the shareholding will deepen strategic collaboration with its key customer Samsung electronics.
The companies expect to create incentives for closer collaboration in the display panel value chain. The move will support continued business development and reinforce existing business ties according to TCL.
