Samsung plans to expand AI features across premium smartphones and home appliances under its global 2026 roadmap.
Samsung sees a positive and bright business outlook for India in 2026, driven by improving consumer sentiment, stronger spending patterns and supportive macroeconomic factors, according to JB Park, President and CEO for Southwest Asia. The company expects demand to strengthen after a challenging 2025, aided by policy measures such as GST revisions that helped revive consumption.
Speaking on the sidelines of CES 2026, Park said Samsung’s global 2026 roadmap places a strong emphasis on expanding artificial intelligence across products. AI features will be increasingly embedded in home appliances such as washing machines and refrigerators, as well as in smartphones above a certain price point. The company is investing heavily in research and development at its India based centres, which are contributing to Samsung’s global AI ecosystem.
Samsung Co-CEO T.M. Roh recently announced that AI will be embedded across every product and category. Park said about 400 million Samsung mobile devices already feature AI, a figure expected to reach 800 million globally by the end of the year. From 2026, Wi-Fi connectivity will be enabled across all Samsung home appliances, allowing devices to connect through the SmartThings platform for energy efficient monitoring and control.
As part of this strategy, Samsung is introducing 9-inch screens across premium refrigerators and washing machines to enable seamless connectivity with smartphones and smart televisions. Park said these features would make home devices easier to access and manage.
Samsung India, which has crossed ₹1 trillion in sales in the appliances and consumer electronics segments, expects growth momentum to return in 2026. With new flagship launches expected from February, Park said Samsung’s outlook for the Indian market remains highly optimistic.
