The initiative promotes responsible recycling and prevents e waste from reaching landfills through Attero’s scientifically compliant advanced recycling infrastructure.
Selsmart, Attero’s sustainable exchange and recycling platform, has partnered with Havells India’s consumer durable brand Lloyd to launch the Lloyd Eco Exchange Program, aimed at enabling responsible appliance upgrades across India. The initiative allows consumers to exchange old appliances of any brand and receive attractive value benefits on the purchase of new Lloyd products through a simple and transparent process.
Currently live across select Havells and Lloyd brand stores, the programme will be expanded to partner retailers, making it accessible pan India across markets where Selsmart operates. Customers can exchange used appliances, receive instant valuation, and directly apply the value towards new Lloyd air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, televisions, and other home appliances.
The programme promotes responsible recycling by ensuring all collected appliances are processed through Attero’s scientifically compliant advanced recycling infrastructure, preventing e waste from entering landfills and supporting circular economy practices.
“At Selsmart, our mission is to make responsible electronics recycling seamless and mainstream for Indian consumers. The Lloyd Eco Exchange Program combines sustainability with real economic value, enabling customers to upgrade appliances without disposal concerns,” said Mr Nitin Gupta, Co Founder and CEO of Attero.
Launched in mid 2024, Selsmart currently operates across more than 25 Indian cities, managing around 30,000 doorstep pickup orders each month. The platform offers consumers fair resale value, secure data wiping, end to end traceability, and responsible recycling for electronics and home appliances.
All products collected under the programme are recycled using Attero’s proprietary technology, delivering over 98% recovery efficiency and high purity outputs. The initiative supports India’s sustainability goals while strengthening domestic supply chains through the recovery of valuable metals.
