The agreement between Servotech and CIMSME seeks to accelerate solar adoption in India, contributing to national energy goals and increasing clean power access for residential users.
Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. and the Chamber of Indian Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (CIMSME) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to promote solar energy adoption across India. The initiative aims to install 100,000 solar rooftop systems in homes by 2026 under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana.
As part of this plan, CIMSME, in collaboration with Servotech, has developed a mobile application to streamline the solar adoption process. The app provides homeowners with services including roof inspection, documentation, installation, system monitoring, and subsidy application assistance. CIMSME will deploy a workforce of 30,000 individuals to support implementation. These personnel, assigned on a PIN code basis, will handle sales, customer assistance, and installation management.
Servotech, registered with 62 DISCOMs nationwide, will supply end-to-end solar solutions. The company will install Solar Photovoltaic Generation Systems (SPGS) ranging from 2kW to 10kW, catering to various household energy requirements. Servotech will also offer maintenance services to ensure system efficiency.
Raman Bhatia, Founder and Managing Director of Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd., stated that the collaboration and mobile application launch mark progress in expanding solar accessibility. By integrating Servotech’s expertise with CIMSME’s network, the initiative aims to enhance community participation in renewable energy.
Mukesh Mohan Gupta, President of CIMSME, emphasized the project’s alignment with the government’s sustainable development vision. He highlighted its role in advancing ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) goals and extending renewable energy to underserved areas.
