The company is tasked with producing, supplying, and installing 2,649 AC EV Chargers nationwide, primarily at petrol stations in major Indian cities, as part of BPCL’s E-drive Project. This initiative is crucial for the broad deployment of EV charging solutions.

Servotech Power Systems announced on Wednesday that it has secured an order to supply 2,649 electric vehicle (EV) chargers to Bharat Petroleum Corporation, a state-owned refiner. The company, however, did not reveal the order’s value in its statement.

Servotech Power Systems Ltd, recognized as an EV charger manufacturer, has received an order for 2,649 AC EV chargers from Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL). The company is committed to manufacturing, supplying, and installing these chargers at strategic locations nationwide, particularly at petrol stations in major cities, as part of BPCL’s E-drive Project. This effort is crucial for expanding the availability of EV charging solutions.

The project involves two types of chargers, 3 kW and 7 kW. Production of these AC chargers has already commenced, with the supply starting on December 15th and expected to be completed within three months.

This is not the first collaboration between Servotech Power Systems and BPCL. They have previously worked together to advance the E-Mobility sector. Servotech supplied and installed 800 30 KW DC fast EV chargers across India for BPCL’s E-drive project.

The company will also manage these AC EV chargers’ installation, commissioning, and maintenance. This project aims to create e-mobility touchpoints that offer seamless transactions, increased availability, easy discovery, and simplified navigation for EV users, providing easier access to the EV charging network.

Sarika Bhatia, Director of Servotech Power Systems, emphasized that installing these chargers will improve the convenience of EV charging and significantly reduce the carbon footprint in transportation. Servotech Power Systems, listed on the NSE, develops tech-enabled EV charging solutions, drawing on over two decades of experience in the electronics field.
