Siemens and Intel have partnered to enhance semiconductor manufacturing efficiency and sustainability.
The collaboration will grow the digitalisation and sustainability of microelectronics manufacturing. It will be focused on improving future manufacturing methods, evolving factory operations and cybersecurity, and backing a resilient international industry ecosystem.

Siemens will bring its entire cutting-edge portfolio of IoT-enabled hardware and software and electrical equipment to this collaboration”, said Cedrik Neike, CEO of Digital Industries and member of the Managing Board of Siemens AG. He has confidence that their joint efforts will contribute significantly to achieving global sustainability goals.
Through this partnership, various initiatives will be highlighted, like- energy management optimisation and carbon footprints across the value chain. This partnership aims to utilise digital twins of complex, highly capital-intensive manufacturing facilities, implementing standardised solutions where even minimal efficiency gains are notably impactful.
The partnership will also encompass efforts to decrease energy consumption and lessen the environmental impact throughout the production process by utilising advanced natural resource modelling techniques. In addition, Intel plans to collaborate with Siemens in exploring modeling solutions for product and supply chain emissions to gain deeper insights. Intel aims to support the industry in hastening its efforts to reduce its environmental footprint collectively.
