SolarWinds Expresses Confidence In Abhijit Banerjee’s Leadership

With over 23 years of experience in technology leadership and a strategic focus on business expansion and channel development, Banerjee’s appointment marks a significant milestone for the company’s growth strategy in India. 

SolarWinds has announced the appointment of Abhijit Banerjee as the newly appointed Managing Director for its operations in India. This includes overseeing operations in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region, comprising countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka.

Bharat Bedi, Managing Director of SolarWinds APJ, expressed confidence in Abhijit Banerjee’s capabilities, stating, “Given Abhijit’s exposure and expertise in the industry, I have great confidence in him to map and realize the growth of SolarWinds India as planned.” In his new role, Banerjee will drive business expansion and channel development for the company in India. The company already maintains a well-established presence in Bangalore, where it has been actively recruiting new talent as part of its post-pandemic recovery strategy.

Abhijit Banerjee, the newly appointed Managing Director, said, “I’m excited to be given this opportunity to lead SolarWinds’ operations in India and SAARC. India, as one of the largest economies in the APJ region, is experiencing remarkable growth with extensive untapped opportunities. Banerjee brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with over 23 years of expertise in sales management and leadership across various technology sectors, including hardware, software, software as a service (SaaS), services, and consulting. Before joining SolarWinds, he held pivotal positions at industry giants such as Cisco, Oracle, Gartner, Palo Alto, Dell EMC, and Wipro. This strategic appointment underscores the company’s commitment to leveraging the dynamic IT landscape of India and the SAARC region. Abhijit’s extensive industry knowledge and leadership acumen are expected to play a pivotal role in driving the company’s growth in this promising market, while helping businesses in the region enhance their digital transformation initiatives with its innovative solutions.
