Silanna Unifies Semiconductor and UV Businesses Under Single Corporate Brand

Silanna will retain its research and development facility in San Diego, California

Silanna has announced the unification of its operating companies, Silanna Semiconductor and Silanna UV, under a single corporate identity, Silanna, in a move aimed at strengthening its technology portfolio and simplifying engagement for customers and partners worldwide.

The new structure combines its expertise in advanced semiconductor technologies and UV LED innovation under one brand to deliver improved performance, reliability and supply confidence across industrial and commercial markets.

Following the consolidation, Silanna will operate through three technology divisions: factory-configurable analog-to-digital converters (ADCs), ultra-efficient laser drivers, and UV LEDs. The ADC business is focused on long-term supply chain security and lower system costs, while the laser-driver division targets LiDAR and rangefinder applications with technology designed to reduce power losses by half. The UV LED division supports chemical-free disinfection of water, air and surfaces.

Silanna will retain its research and development facility in San Diego, California, and its epitaxy and fabrication manufacturing facility in Brisbane, Australia.

Its products will continue to be supported through global sales and operations teams, existing manufacturer representatives and international distribution partners, with silanna.com becoming the unified global website for all technology platforms.

By combining resources and technical expertise across the three divisions, Silanna aims to accelerate the development of new analog and advanced UV technologies. The unified structure is also intended to provide customers and partners in more territories with a single point of engagement across the company’s technology portfolio.

“Silanna has always focused on solving complex engineering challenges through deep expertise. Bringing our semiconductor and UV technologies together under one brand will strengthen how we deliver for customers,” said Rob Lobban, Managing Director of Silanna.

“From performance and supply confidence to the technical support needed to move quickly from development to application, it’s an important step in shaping the future technologies being forged at Silanna.”

The transition aligns with its long-term strategy of turning advances in materials science and semiconductor engineering into scalable technologies for real-world industrial and commercial applications.
