Solairedirect fully supports the Government of India’s renewable energy initiative and views it as a key milestone towards global success at the COP 21 climate conference scheduled to take place in Paris from November 30 to December 11 2015.
In India, Solairedirect has a total capacity of 185,6MW(1) across three states: Rajasthan, Telangana and Punjab. Solairedirect was recently awarded 56MW in the latest competitive tender in Punjab consolidating its position as a key player in the Indian solar market, thanks to a highly professional local team based in Pune (Maharashtra) as well as its global network and proven track record of developing, operating and investing in solar parks internationally.
In November 2014, the Government of India announced an ambitious target of 100GW of solar power capacity by 2022, five times the previous national objective. Following this pioneering step, the Government of India requested developers, energy companies, banks and investors to formally declare their contributions to that objective. Solairedirect is proud to announce that it has formally declared a target of developing at least 2GW of solar power capacity in India over the 2015-2019 period.
