SUN Mobility, which provides eco-friendly urban mobility solutions, has joined forces with Bluwheelz, an innovative electric vehicle (EV) startup in the electric mobility industry. This partnership represents a significant stride in promoting clean and sustainable urban transportation.
By incorporating SUN Mobility’s EV technology into Bluwheelz’s vehicle fleet, the company can harness SUN Mobility’s battery-swapping solution, which is built on Battery-as-a-service and Mobility-as-a-service models. Over the next 12 months, the two companies plan to deploy more than 15,000 electric two-wheelers and 1,000 electric three-wheelers in metropolitan cities. SUN Mobility also intends to convert Bluwheelz’s existing 4-wheeler loader fleet into electric vehicles, with plans to retrofit 1,000 vehicles within the same timeframe.
The deployment has already commenced in Delhi, with nearly 500 vehicles now operating on the city’s streets. Soon, operations will commence in Bangalore and Hyderabad as well. Their primary objective is to reduce emissions, ease traffic congestion, and improve last-mile connectivity in urban areas.
SUN Mobility boasts an extensive network of approximately 600 swap stations nationwide, which will provide Bluwheelz customers with a convenient battery-swapping experience. This collaboration follows both companies’ goal to deliver efficient and sustainable transportation solutions that cater to the evolving needs of modern cities.
